Misses Extra Small through Extra Large; Men's Small through 2X-Large.

This traditional coat has been a versatile fashion through the ages. It was worn for casual outdoor activities in the English countryside in the 1700's for formal or dress fashion in the 1800's and for business wear until World War I in the early 1900s. Today, it's the perfect choice for historic military or Western reenactment, as well as a very fresh contemporary look.

The single-breasted unlined Coat sewing pattern features shawl collar, princess seams in back, waist darts in front (woman's coat only), slightly lowered waistline, long narrow sleeves with banded cuffs, and above-knee peplum with back vent.

Suggested fabrics: Lightweight denim or canvas, light- to medium-weight wool, linen, hemp, silk, brocade, velveteen, leather, suede, prewashed tapestry or upholstery fabric.
