This Fujix sashiko thread is hand-dyed with kakushibu (fermented persimmon tanin), a traditional Japanese technique that makes rich wood tones.  

This smooth thread is lovely to work in sashiko designs, but is also lovely for hand quilting, visible mending, and other needlework. Color "brick dust" is a muted brownish pink with some slight variegation. Color "brick red" is just a bit darker.
