Sizes XS-3XL (updated sizing!)

The sewing pattern for our Vintage Bathing Costume, dating from around 1890, features a flattering gored skirt with deep pleats in the back. The skirt buttons at the waistband over a knee-length romper. The bodice featured short puffed sleeves, whimsical sailor collar and tie, with an optional inset "modesty" bib. Top it off with a jaunty Bathing Cap for an authentic look.

The Vintage Bathing Costume is great for a fun summer outfit. Make it in bright floral or striped cotton, or traditional in navy blue medium-to-heavyweight cotton or lightweight wool with white trim. Wear it without the skirt and omit the "modesty" bib for a casual playsuit.
