The style and shape of the Cossack uniform reflects the far-reaching influence of the Tatars on everything from styles of dress to the political structure of the Imperial Courts in Russia. Similar clothing styles can be found from Mongolia to Iran, through the southern Caucasus region, and on into Turkey and Hungary.
Folkwear is pleased to again present the Russian Cossack Uniform as a special printing. The pattern consists of a a full-length Coat, knee-length Tunic, drawstring Trousers with a fly, and a Cap. The pattern comes from an original uniform with the coat made of red wool broadcloth trimmed with gold galloon, the tunic of white cotton pique, trousers of wool broadcloth and a wool cap with brim of black Persian lamb.
