133 Belgian Military Chef's Jacket

Women's sizes XS-3XL; Men's sizes SM-3XL

This versatile, semi-fitted jacket for men and women is an all-occasion delight; its curved seam construction is flattering on every body.  Women can team it with our 209 Walking Skirt or 231 Big Sky Riding Skirt for a classically contemporary suit;  for men it's an avant-garde extra jacket.

Our military surplus original comes from Belgium, and is made of olive drab cotton gabardine.  The gourmet chef can feel authentically continental in white.  A stand up collar opens to lapels or an asymmetrical flap, or wear it militantly closed.  The back is semi-fitted, and curves gently to a center point;  double-breasted front panels can button to either side.  Set-in sleeves are finished with curved cuffs. 

This jacket also looks great in brilliantly colored silk, or any other fabric. Cook up a creative variation of this fashionably cropped jacket by piecing the front and back panels from contrasting fabrics or with unusual buttons. Lapels can be worn open or closed.

Suggested fabrics: Medium or heavyweight cottons and blends such as poplin, denim, gabardine, corduroy, linen; light to medium-weight wool; suiting weight silks.
