A sewing pattern for a complete ensemble from Old Russia that includes jumper, blouse, and apron, along with options for ribbon and embroidered embellishment. The Jumper or Sundress (Sarafan) is loose and gathered into a band that fits snugly around the body just above the bust. The sleeves and body of the hip-length Blouse (Rukava) are gathered into a narrow neckband; shoulder yokes are often decorated with traditional Igolochky (Russian punch-needle embroidery) or cross stitch. The Apron (Zapon) is worn over all.
Wear the jumper by itself, as a sundress, or combine with the other pieces for a variety of looks. Pattern includes historical information about Russian peasant costume and instructions for traditional punch needle embroidery.

I made this cloak for my daughter, who has been looking for dress-ups that fit her as she gets older. This pattern has far exceeded our expectations!
Complex but Not Hard - My first Folkwear pattern. Loved this pattern + instructions. The dress looks so lovely . . . .
Easy to follow and very cute. This was my first time making a dirndl and the pattern was very easy to follow! I loved how they added specific how to’s for changing the waist or bust measurements and fit it to your body.
